"Splendid Sneffels"

Sneffels Range, Colorado

One of Colorado's 14,000 foot peaks, Mt. Sneffels majestically rises as king over the Sneffels Range in the San Juan mountains of southwestern Colorado. Almost as a crown, the peak is adorned with a lenticular cloud formed by early morning winds over the high-altitude mountain. This shot was taken shortly after "Fairyland Sunrise" but from a different vantage point.
